Aeres Antwerp cycling route

  • Nieuws
Antwerp is best explored by bike. Especially for the Aeres Antwerp, our electric city bike that combines comfort and power, a unique cycling route has now been mapped out. A loop of approximately 25 kilometers passing by the city’s most iconic spots.

Start at the Central Station

The ride starts at Central Station, one of the most beautiful station buildings in Europe. From there, the route takes you through the green City Park and on to Marnix Square with the Scheldt Free Monument. A short stop at the KMSKA, the restored Royal Museum of Fine Arts, showcases the city’s rich artistic side.

Via the Zuidersluis, the route continues to the Sint-Annatunnel, an underground passage with escalators that leads you to the Left Bank. At the Sint Anneke beach, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the Antwerp skyline.

History and Maritime Heritage

After a short loop on the other side of the Scheldt, the route goes back through the tunnel towards the city center. Along the way, you pass Groenplaats, the Cathedral, and the Grote Markt with the Brabo Fountain and the historic City Hall. On the banks lies Het Steen, an old fortress that has been brought back to life.
The route winds past the Bonaparte Dock and Droogdokken Park and heads towards Zaha Hadid’s futuristic Port House. After crossing the Londen Bridge, you’ll reach the moored ships Hannus and Auwe Neel, located near the MAS.

Musical Finale

The route continues over the Park Bridge towards Park Spoor Noord, a modern city park on a former railway site. It then passes the Beguinage, and you can stop at the Meir for some shopping. The Opera serves as the musical finale, after which the ride ends back at Central Station.

The route is a mix of heritage, architecture, and city life—perfect to experience with the Aeres Antwerp, a bike that makes every stretch feel comfortable and stylish.
